The last of them. The end of my shooting on the road trip, the last shot of the glass factory. After this I spent some time in the hot springs near Mammoth and a nice little trip through Yosemite heading home, but as for shooting I was done after this image. It was also my only ambrotype of the trip and trust me when I say it looks amazing in person, the scan is only so-so.

In the busy world of designing and creating things this will be my place to rest and show you what I have been up to. Photography has held a central role in my life for all of my adult life and most of it deals with some strange ideals that I have about life and beauty. I will not solve the world's problems with my images, I will not cure any disease, I will not assuage the pain of living in a modern world. But what I will do is show you how I see things and hopefully you might get some semblance of pleasure from that. Most of my images lately have been made using one of the oldest photography processes, wet plate collodion. And this blog is about my adventures in learning.
And in case you are wondering the magic happens in San Francisco. And sometimes on the road with the mobile darkroom and camera.
